Navigate Offers Flexible Work for Eye Care Professionals

There’s no denying that the professional world changed dramatically during the pandemic. Although, many agree that change was already well underway for the traditional office-based employee and that COVID only accelerated that shift. Regardless of the circumstances, the definition of professionalism has evolved to allow for better work-life balance, flexible hours, and more remote opportunities — all signs of a new normal that are here to stay.

Navigate Patient Solutions is embracing this new normal. Our patient counselors, whom we call Navigators, can set their own hours and work from anywhere providing much-needed education to cataract patients. Patients are referred by the practices we work with and paired with a Navigator who uses our proprietary technology to facilitate discussions via phone, video, and text with patients and, when needed, with their loved ones.

Navigators work with cataract patients from diagnosis through post-op appointments, giving them the time and attention they need to understand their options and to make decisions they feel confident about. To do that, Navigators have four goals:

  1. Ensure a terrific patient experience.
  2. Represent a practice using the practice’s preferred talking points.
  3. Educate patients so they’re confident they understand their options.
  4. Maintain confidentiality.

If you are a certified ophthalmic assistant, optometrist, or work in another area of eye care and you enjoy the patient education process, we want to meet you. Learn more about what it takes to be a Navigator or apply now.
